We are happy to announce that the report “Transforming Poland through the use of intelligent digital solutions” has seen the light of day! BIM Ally had the honor of contributing to the report, especially in the area of construction. Our board member, Piotr Trusiewicz, served as the leader of the Construction section, coordinating the activities of the team of experts from companies such as Budimex, Warbud, Mostostal, Siemens, Łukasiewicz Research Network, Enetecs, and buildingSMART Polska, and actively participating in the creation of postulates that we hope will be the foundation of the digital revolution in the Polish construction sector.

Piotr Trusiewicz, board member at Bim Ally and leader of the “AI Data for Construction” section in the AI Working Group at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, says: “I hope that this report will indicate even more the need for legislative support in the implementation of BIM, which is of key importance not only for the construction itself but also for many related sectors of the economy. Digitization through BIM is a step towards sustainable development, covering the entire ecosystem of investments, resource management and environmental protection.”

The report presents a vision of the transformation of the sector, indicating, among other things, the need to standardize digital tools and implement BIM on a large scale. The developed postulates include:

  1. Establishment of a BIM implementation and coordination team, consisting of representatives of: the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Development and Technology, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the AI and BIM Working Groups, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations from the construction industry, including the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers, the Association of Polish Architects, buildingSMART Polska, and universities. The team will prepare a plan for implementing BIM in Poland.
  2. Introduction of data standards that ensure the integration of BIM and IoT and take into account open IFC standards, CCI classification and Product Data Templates.
  3. Development of a long-term financial plan for 2025-2030, which will cover the necessary financial resources for the implementation of BIM technology, including costs related to education, training, modernization of technological infrastructure, as well as support for small and medium-sized enterprises in adapting to new requirements.

New opportunities for the entire construction industry

The report’s publication is, above all, an impulse for legislators to act. Thanks to the proposals presented in the report, we hope that the Polish construction sector will accelerate the implementation of modern technologies, such as BIM, which will open the way to more sustainable and innovative construction projects.

At BIM Ally, we are proud that we could contribute to the development of this vision and support the further development of construction in Poland. Joint actions, supported by the report and its recommendations, have the potential to change the face of the entire industry, and we will happily continue our involvement in the digitization of the sector.
