Speech at BIM Meetup Polska

Exactly yesterday (28/09), a member of our management board – Piotr Trusiewicz, had the pleasure of speaking during the BIM Meetup Polska event

BIM Meetup are cyclical meetings of industry practitioners. Each meeting has a main topic, which is followed by several presentations and a discussion. Meetups gather many participants, and what distinguishes them on a national scale is the relaxed atmosphere, honesty of the message and discussion about solutions to problems faced by community members.

“BIM and digital work tools among designers.”

During his speech, Piotr presented some of the results of our latest study “BIM and digital work tools among designers.” conducted together with the Faculty of Management Engineering of the Białystok University of Technology.

He started with the research methodology and respondents, and then moved on to key issues – the scope and motives for using BIM, what tools are used in the designer’s work, what communication channels and tools they use, and what are the key barriers to the use of BIM technology.

This study sheds light on the dynamic development of BIM technology in the design community in Poland. The increase in the use of BIM, the diversity of tools and the growing need for education are important directions that shape the present and future of the design industry. For designers, it is important not only to use modern tools, but also to constantly develop competences to effectively use the potential of BIM technology in their work.
