BIM ALLY at the ICAAC 2023 conference in Prague

On September 9, one of the board members – Piotr Trusiewicz, had the honor to speak at the ICAAC 2023 conference organized by the European Association of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, supported by the Polish Association of Concrete Producers in Prague.

During the panel, Piotr presented a presentation titled: “BIM – A new paradigm for building and maintaining a manufacturer-architect relationship.”

During the speech, he also touched on the topic of BIM and its benefits in the enterprise and how this technology is used by designers based on the results of reports that we developed in cooperation with the Faculty of Management Engineering of the Białystok University of Technology.

Revit, Archicad, the program is not BIM yet

The speech under this title was presented by a member of the management board of BIM ALLY Sp. z o. o. and at the same time BIM Director – Norbert Lewko during the seminar: “Development of enterprises of the Polish Construction Cluster – training and consulting needs offered within the BIM Competence Center.” organized by the Polish Construction Cluster on September 14, 2023.

Norbert shared his knowledge and experience related to BIM and municipal construction, providing valuable insights.

Participants learned from the presentation how BIM can contribute to a more effective and sustainable development of urban infrastructure.

The event was also attended by representatives of, among others, the “Bien” Agency and the Białystok University of Technology.

It was very nice to exchange observations with experts. We would like to thank, among others, Pavi Sorte for the inspiring and valuable conversation during the event.

BIM Meetup Polska

28/09 Piotr Trusiewicz had the honor to participate as a speaker at the “BIM Meetup Polska” event.

BIM Meetup are cyclical meetings of industry practitioners. Each meeting has a main topic, which is followed by several presentations and a discussion. Meetups gather many participants, and what distinguishes them on a national scale is the relaxed atmosphere, honesty of the message and discussion about solutions to problems faced by community members.

During his speech, Piotr presented some of the results of our latest study “BIM and digital work tools among designers.” conducted together with the Faculty of Management Engineering of the Białystok University of Technology.

He started with the research methodology and respondents, and then moved on to key issues – the scope and motives for using BIM, what tools are used in the designer’s work, what communication channels and tools they use, and what are the key barriers to the use of BIM technology.

This study sheds light on the dynamic development of BIM technology in the design community in Poland. The increase in the use of BIM, the diversity of tools and the growing need for education are important directions that shape the present and future of the design industry. For designers, it is important not only to use modern tools, but also to constantly develop competences to effectively use the potential of BIM technology in their work.

The report “BIM and digital work tools among designers” is now officially available

On October 4, we officially published the report, which was created as a result of a study conducted in cooperation with the Faculty of Management Engineering of the Białystok University of Technology – this time in a group of architects and designers of structures and installations of all types.

The study participants answered 20 questions regarding areas such as:

• Scope and motives for using BIM
• Tools used in the designer’s work
• Communication channels and tools
• Key barriers to the use of BIM technology

The report “BIM and digital work tools among designers” is not only a collection of data, but also the voice of the design industry itself. It is an expression of cooperation and involvement of designers in developing their skills and improving design processes.

London Build Expo 2023

London Build Expo 2023 is already behind us. As participants, we had the honor of being not only witnesses, but also active participants in this exciting event. We experienced two days of constant flow of information, inspiring conversations, and meetings with key figures in the construction industry.

The main theme of the fair was, of course, BIM, which was not only present in all discussions, but also became the driving force for many innovative solutions. Much attention was paid to tools for modeling, data analysis and effective collaboration, which confirms that BIM is no longer just a methodology, but a key element of every successful construction project.

One of the fascinating points of the program were the presentations of manufacturers who shared their strategies in BIM implementation. In this context, we have noticed how important it is for manufacturers to remain competitive in the era of the growing role of BIM as a standard in the industry.

To sum up, London Build Expo 2023 undoubtedly deserves its place on the list of must-see events for everyone involved in the construction industry. It is not only an overview of the latest trends and technologies, but also an ideal opportunity to build business relationships and share experiences.

SMART BUILDING EXPO in Milan

SMART BUILDING EXPO is a prestigious industry event that brings together leaders of the smart construction sector. It’s a place where the latest innovations and technologies are showcased and industrial thinkers meet to exchange ideas and visions for the future.

During our visit to the fair on November 15-17, we had the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and solutions in the field of energy efficiency and comfort of use of buildings. It was an invaluable experience that allowed us to understand what directions of development the industry may take in the coming years.

“BIM as a tool to shorten the process time” training

On Monday (November 27), we had the honor to participate in the training “BIM as a tool to shorten the duration of the process” organized by the Polish Association of Developer Companies PZFD

Our board member, Piotr Trusiewicz, appeared as a speaker, sharing knowledge about the role of BIM in design practice.

Facade Expo – INTERNATIONAL FAIR FOR FACADES AND THERMAL MODERNIZATION

On November 28, we had the opportunity to participate in the first edition of Facade Expo – INTERNATIONAL FAIR FOR FACADES AND THERMAL MODERNIZATION.

The Facade Expo fair is not only a place for presenting new products, but also a platform for building relationships and exchanging experiences between representatives of the facade and thermal modernization industry. During the event, we had the opportunity to take a closer look at new technologies, materials and trends shaping the future of this sector.

We were greatly impressed by the synergistic atmosphere that prevailed during the fair. It is a place where decision-makers, specialists and innovators meet to discuss, build a network of cooperation and make important decisions regarding the security of the industry.
